Who We Are

The HIV Support Centre (known as The Centre) is a registered charity and is the only specific HIV/AIDS charity which offers support services to all people affected by HIV in Northern Ireland and the border counties of The Republic of Ireland.
Our organisation was founded in 1986 and has, due to increased demand, evolved and expanded over the years in the field of HIV/AIDS in Northern Ireland.
We aim to support and empower everyone living with or affected by HIV and AIDS, upholding the principles of dignity, equality and respect, and to seek to prevent the spread of HIV through the provision of information, education and awareness.
Services are provided for people living with HIV, either recently diagnosed or living with HIV for some time; partners, carers, family members, friends or children of people living with HIV.
The charity works closely with the health and social care sector in Northern Ireland and is keen to expand its relationships in this area.
Our organisation is reliant on raising our own funds to support our constantly expanding range of services.
